Damn you, Barack Obama… I Might Join The Campaign, DAMN!!!!!

Note: This is more of a personal opinion, so you don’t have to go along with my word. However, at least hear me out. I’ll respect your opinions as you would mine.

I finally decided. I’m for Barack Obama. I tried real hard NOT to be for Obama. You know how HARD that is? It’s really hard because honestly, I wanted to hate you. Reason why? I think this guy expresses my feelings more than I can write. (He swears, people. He swears.)

The Hunger Strike – The Boondocks Preview

Are you hungry for the new episode? Well, this should hold your appetite. The next episode is called "The Hunger Strike". Huey decided to go on a hunger strike until BET starts changing their ways. Check out the clip below.

Update: This episode was supposed to be air 01/07/08. However, for reasons unknown, it never seen the light of day. Rumor had it that it might be banned from TV. Hmmmm…

Boondocks – "Thank You For Not Snitching" (Rerun)

"Thank You For Not Snitching" episode will rerun on Monday. If you didn’t catch it the first time, now would be a good chance to set your VCRs (or Digital Video Recorders… or maybe Windows Media Center if you are willing to go that far) to capture one of the season’s good episodes. The hardcore Boondocks fans use the term "good episode" lightly this season. I still have hope, but ya know… an angry letter mid season don’t really help make things better.

My guess as far as when they will air the next episode? Maybe next month, knowing that they have only a few more episodes until the end of the season.

If you rather catch it online, Adult Swim’s the place to get it. Check the link following this post.

Introducing "Productive Tactics"

If you have been login on to the old forum, you might have noticed a forum called "Productive Tactics", but have no idea what it means. Now, it repeats in My.Life-Remixed.com and you are still wondering… "what is this section about?"

Well, "Productive Tactics" is a category that explores ways to improve your productivity and your life in general. I figured this would be a cool place to post up tips on new web sites, software and "mind hacks" that you can use to network, mingle and basically improving yourself… without getting all Oprah on you.

I can hear you now: this type of topic is a little strange. Well, here’s why I think it’s cool.

  • You can save a lot of time by putting your best foot forward. Education on that will help you get started.
  • You can make your day more interesting and get more done without guilt.
  • And let’s not forget when you can save time, you can probably save a bit of cash yourself, and possibly earn more money!

Cool, huh? Well, how do you get started?

First off, you have to be open-minded to new ideas. Second, you can also look up "life hacks", "mind hacks" and also productivity hacks. You don’t have to go crazy into it like certain people, but you do have to apply these methods into your daily life and don’t over think them.

I will only write posts that I feel can benefit the average person. If you do like the subject and want to talk about more ways to be more productive, the forum on My.Life-Remixed.com is always open.

LR’s 2 Cent: Enough With The Clintons!

As you know, Life-Remixed isn’t just about me expressing my opinion. It’s also a community of other like-minded people. In the forum, the current topic is of course, Hilliary Clinton and her win over Obama in NH. When one member starts to sound off strongly, others tend to follow with their own opinions.

Is America ready for a black president? Raible, a man who don’t really post unless something moves him, knows so. His comments are something to chew on, scattered out throughout the discussion. He’s a direct quote from him:

Barack Obama fills me with renewed hope for this country. Something I haven’t had in the twelve years I’ve lived here (I’m an immigrant). He may not be perfect, but at least he’s real change, and he also represents real social progress.

Is Hillary Clinton ready? fistjedi fears not. fistjedit made a very detailed response, which included this quote:

I am not against white women per say, neither am I opposed to having a lady in the Oval Office. It will happen someday, that I believe. But Hillary is isn’t the chosen one. What I have seen in her campaign is peanut gallery theatrics, using her husband (and his extensive Rolodex filled with connections) to do the heavy lifting and severely attacking other candidates (specifically Obama). I have not really seen Hillary lay out some semblance of a plan for the country in her speeches, nor has she sufficiently shown the sincerity or the foresight to run this country effectively if she did get ahold of the gold ring. It takes more to convince voters that just “I was the wife of Bill Clinton and I want to be the first female president of the U.S., oh and Obama is a child in politics.”

And how about America? Is America ready for a change? ASALI insisted that America is not ready. Why? Well, not for the reasons the media thinks…

America does not [want] to repair the damage. [Parents have their] children so twisted about the history of the country that when you mentioned slavery and reparations, you get “Get over it, it happened 400 yrs ago. I had nothing to do with that, why are mad with me, it doesn’t affect me…”

I would like to know that it’s not easy for black people to just “get over it”. That’s like telling the American Indians to get over the fact that their land was taken from them and introduce them to your ways… like Christianity, hostile takeovers… and maybe a plague or two. Well, not really… they get casinos and reserves and in the meantime, Katrina victims are still suffering. However, that’s another topic for another day. (I’m pretty sure that will be sometime during “Black History Month”)

The OFFICIAL 2008 Presidential Election Discussion – On My.Life-Remixed.com

Hilliary Clinton & The Crying Game

Congratulations goes out to Hillary Clinton for winning the New Hampshire’s seal of approval. However, this victory seem to be very questionable. Did she won because of her platform, her can-do attuide, the “change is needed” chants that’s all the rage… or was it because of the “emotional break down” that the media just eat up?

That’s right, if anything, I feel that she got a “sympathy vote”, the only tactic a female can use and with pride. (Feminist, please calm down. It wasn’t a direct blow towards you.) However, just like in any game, a win’s a win, no matter how it’s won. I just hope that the voters voted because of the platform their representatives are fighting for and not for what they pull on the platform that they are standing. After all…

… Ronald Regan was an actor.

All (Political) Eyes on New Hampshire

Today is New Hampshire’s turn to pick the main runners for the highest prize in the Political game: The chair of the Commander-In-Chief of the whole damn world (no disrespect to my brothers outside of the US).

Unlike Iowa, the odds are against Sen. Obama for Sen. Hilliary Clinton has the upper hand for the Caucuses in NH. While the media plays up the story with romantic story lines, the primaries does set up the mood for the upcoming elections later this year. Obama does sound like he’s got a good chance. I’ve spoken with some LR members and they are more confident with Obama winning the whole thing than ’04 Democrat forerunner, John Kerry.

However, the one thing that bugs me. In the Iowa race, the Democrats final polls have a lower voting count than the Republicans, which makes you wonder what gives? Turns out Iowa is a “Red State”, which means primary Republican. Well, that goes to show you how much I really know about the election process. This is the first time I’m looking that deep into it, so help me figure out some things. Don’t be ashame to post up some comments about this. After all, I love learning new things.

Well, good luck to all those running.

Edited: Actually, Clinton is the one who’s going against all odds. The local newpapers corrected me.

Note to self: check all resources, especially when you live in a state like New York.
