The speech was amazing, and I personally have not met a politician with such intelligence and eloquence and political, social and historical understading.I think Obama did an excellent job of assuring both his supporters and his detractors that he does not share the divisive and highly disturbing views of his former pastor, Jeremia Write. He even went beyond assuring the American people; he called out the entire nation to take on the responsibility of addressing racial issues that still secretely and sometimes openly exist in this country. I think it takes a very strong, unselish, and informed person like senator Obama to face and address this kind of issue, which most people consider taboo and choose to sweep under the carpet. We cannot ask much from Obama with regards to Write's comments. He has done his part. He has done his best. And I am not saying that he is a saint, but he truly does not deserve to be crucified over his pastor's sermons. He has set the platform for the entire nation to discuss and deal with issues of race and injustice more openly. I believe some people, even the so called analysts and politicians will struggle to grasp the depth and Obama's motivation in giving this speech. Some people will try search for loop-holes. Obama is not perfect. He has only done what is humanly possible under such circumstances. His wasn't just another polotical speech but a real and honest dialogue with the entire nations over a disturbing topic and a relatioonshhip that a realtionship that, in this crucial time in American history, could have jeopardised his political life.

I love Obama and will continue to suppport him as best I can.

God bless America!
