The sounds and rhythms that the Mixman produces are outstanding!!! I still use mine, but I never left XP, ’cause I didn’t see the need, so it’s all good. The Mixman website still offers a few D-Plates for download, but I’m wondering if anyone has any of the ones that are unavailable? I’ve used Fruity Loops, Reason, Kontakt…. and I would say just for the sake of simplicity, that Mixman is a better piece of software. Too bad to see it go *?#)$@

Great post! I really enjoyed your telling of this man’s story. It gives me a fuller appreciation for the man behind the comics. I’m forwarding this to my uncle who collects comic books. Glad I happened upon this post.

Wow… I was also a user of mixman in college right around 1998/1999… Came back to see what they are up to… They are no longer. Too bad it was a great idea.
