Jay-Z – History (Fan Made Video & Lyrics)

I heard Jay-Z’s latest song. I thought it was a very, very, VERY good song. It was touching, motivational song. But this video that a fan of Jay-Z made… well, it made me cry. Not just a tear, but actually made me cry. Talk about a tear jerker. I can so picture myself in there.

Jay-Z – History

CHORUS:
Now that all the smoke is gone
And the battle finally rise
Victory`s finally ours
History so loved, so long, so long, so long.

VERSE 1:
In search of victory, she keeps it (?) with me
If only we could be together momentarily
We could make love, and make history
Why won`t you visit me, until she visits me
I’ll be stuck with a sista, her name is defeat
She gives me agony, so much agony
She brings me so much pain
So much misery, like missing your last shot
And fall to your knees
As the crowd screams, for the other team
I practice so hard for this moment victory don`t leave
I know what this means, I’m stuck in this routine
Whole new different day, but the same old things
All I got is dreams, but nobody else could see
Nobody else believe, nobody else but me
Where are you victory, I need you desperately
Not just for the moment. to make history

CHORUS

VERSE 2:
So now I’m flirting with death
Hustla like a cheat, while victory wasn’t watching
Took chances repeatedly
As a teenage boy, before acne
Before i got proactive, I couldn’t face sheet
I just threw on my hoody and headed to the streets
I swear I met success, we lived together shortly
A success is like lust, which is good for the touch
Which is good for the moment, but she’s never enough
Everybody’s had her, she’s nothing like me
A success is all I got, unfortunately
But I’m burning down the block
I’ve been in it down defeat
But something tells me that there’s much more to see
Before I get killed, cause I can’t get robbed
So before me, success and death bandage
I gotta get lost, I gotta find free
We gotta be together to make history

CHORUS

Verse 3:
Now history is mine, it taste so sweet
She’s my trophy wife, she comin’ with me
We have a baby who stutters` repeatedly
We name him history
He repeats after me
He’s my legacy, son I’m a hard work
Future of my past, he’ll explain who I be
Rank me among the greats
Either 1 2 or 3, if I ain’t number one
Then I failed your victory
Ain’t in it for the fame, that dies in 10 weeks
Ain’t in it for the money, can`t take me when you live
I wanna be remembered long after you breath
Long after I’m gone, long after I breath
I live all I am, in the hands of history
Bless my last will testimony
This is much more then a song
It`s a baby shower, I’ve been waiting for this hour
History your ours.

CHORUS x2

Tech N9ne – Like Yeah

It’s been a while since I’ve been trying to follow my schedule. So, today, another Tuesday is upon us and I decided to fetch a new music video for y’all to sample. I came across Tech N9ne, strapped up, in a padded cell, spitting his usual fire.  With an appearance by Danny Trejo, it can be certified hardcore. Enjoy. :)

Aaron McGruder’s The Negro News Brief

I only seen one bit of Comedy Central’s Chocolate News. It seem to be a take on Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson’s views of how Black People present themselves. According to some people, Chocolate News didn’t seem to catch on with the audience. DL Hughley Breaks the News seems to not catch on too well either. Seems like when it’s our turn to “fake the news” or parody mainstream news, we seem to take ourselves a bit too seriously.

Hopefully, Aaron McGruder might changed that. A few hours ago, his Boondocks Bootleg channel showcase The Nergo News Brief. It seem to have hit the right formula because it’s most about issues only the streets would care about. However, this does brings up an interesting question: Why do we hold ourselves to extremely high standards when it comes to anything? Only time will tell. In the meantime, enjoy this video.

Barack Obama’s Recent 60 Minutes Interview

Currently, I’m not in a blogging mood. I’m still trying to get my flow going. However, I didn’t get a chance to watch the 60 Minutes Interview yesterday due to the fact that I don’t have a television. However, I did found the whole 60 Minutes interview custody of CBS News and decided to post this interview up for your enjoyment.

So, enjoy and discuss! :)

Going To Talk Hip-Hop Tech and Internet

What’s old is new again. Yes, I’m going to put the “digi-tal” back into my posts.

As some of you may recall, earlier in the way, I was talking about websites and applications from a hip-hop perspective. Then I canned it thanks to a survey from regulars. However, the hardcore regulars are slowly turning into casual people and there’s new people here. So, instead of launching two separate blogs and confusing the hell out of people, I decide to keep it all on one blog, this blog. Because I do aim to remix thoughts and one of those thought I would like to mos definitely remix are the growing people that blame the internet for the “death of hip-hop”. So, in the weeks to come, I’ll be pounding out these type of posts along with the usual and see if it’s a fit to all the new heads reading my posts, appreciating my thoughts and subscribing to my RSS feed.

And if the last thing I said to you sound a bit geeky, then maybe you need to bookmark my site now and stay tuned!
